Abstract: Early in his career as a cowboy showman, Will Rogers spent time in South Africa with a traveling Wild West Show. Joseph H. Carter Sr. and Michelle Lefebvre-Carter retraced the steps of Will Rogers as he made that formative trek through South Africa to better understand the impact it had on the vocation of Oklahoma's Favorite Son.
