OCTOBEIl 14 1903.
A number of the substantial citizens
of Chandler ami several organizations
particularly the ladies’ clubs, would
be glad to see the ownership of Oak
Park cemetery pass to the ownership
of the city. It is a fact that in all new
communities the cemetery is not given
the care and attention that it should
have. While many of those owning
lots in Oak Park have done much to
beautify them, the cemetery as a whole
does not bear evidence of the scrupu-
lous care which those having dear
ones laid to rest there would like to
see bestowed upon it, and at least a
part of which would be given it if it
were city properly and the donors
thus had the assurance that tho work
and money expended in improving it
would be permanent in character and
of lasting benefit to the city.
W. P. Jennings, who lives

with a very sick baby. The child is
only four weeks old and the parents
had given it Dovers powders, which
had the effect of poison upon the sys-
tem of the infant.
