Better Than Pills.
The question has been asked, “In
what way are Chamberlain's Stomach
and Liver Tablets sup rior to pills'? ’
Our answer is: They are easier and
more pleasant to take, more mild and
gentle in effect and more reliable as
they can always be depended upon.
Then they cleanse and in\igorate the
stomach and leave the bowels in a
natural condition,while pills arc more
harsh in effect and their use Is often
followed by constipation. For sale

C. D. Spencer has faithfully served
the city as night-watch for two years
—an arduous position but not a re-
munerative one. He is entitled to the
office of marshal and the opinion is
pretty general that he will be elected.
Aside from the efficient service lie has
rendered the city, Mr. Spencer has the
sympathy of many because of the un-
ceremonious manner in which he was
turned down last summer by Acting
Mayor Mascho. It will he remembered
that at the time of the sudden death of
Marsha] Warren petitions were pre-
sented by both Spencer and Handley
for appointment to till the vacancy.
Mr Spencer’s petition was signed by
210 voters, that of Mr Handley by
only 02, yet Mr. Handley was ap-
pointed.
