Your Caddie and You
He's a manly little fellow and hie eye is swirt and keen.
And it's pood to see him smiling when you come up to the green:
And It's good to hear him say ins when you've got a rotten lie
"I'm certain you can make ff ;slr'." It keeps your spirit high
lie Is with you every minute on the smooth and in the rough.
And .'our caddie's quick to sense it It you're made tif proper stuff.
You can't expect a caddie to be go t If you are had;
It's human to reflect the sort of company we've had;
Associations mark us with the stamps we can't erase;
They are noted In our manners and they're read in every face.
.- hoy f hut's trained In error isn't likjiy to be true
Ami your caddie's but the pit tur-f and the counterpart nf you.
If you h' .ir yivr trials bravely if you do the best you can.
You will find the little fellow trying hard to be a man..
If you show the proper spirit when you meet misfortune grim
You'll be making a courageous and plucky chap of'Iilm.
But if you are overbearing and the speech of trues employ
You are ruining the morals and the manhood of the boy.
You can't expect your caddie to be smiling and serene
If in all your dealings with him you are arrogant and mean.
He's a manly little fellow and he wants to do what's right
IJut he's quick -to sense Injustice and his breast is full of fight.
Si) remember when he doesn't always do as he should do
And you find that he Is careless that the fault may lie with you.
