Western establishes historical
preservation
Western Oklahoma State College has established
a historical preservation committee and is soliciting
input from former students, faculty and staff, accord-
ing to WOSC President Randy Cumby.
“In looking over past records and photographs, we
realize that much of our history is missing," Cumby
said. “We’re hoping to preserve as much of our past
as possible and believe that there may be people with
ties to the college who would like to help by providing
or compiling information.”
The historical committee has begun organizing
information with the intention of publishing a his-
tory of the college within the next year.
Committee members include Cumby, Dr. Glyna
Olson, Dr. Bruce Newman, Larry Duffy, Alice Cook,
Julie Brooks, Cecil and Loweta Chesser, and Louise
Paxton.
