America's Heritage Art & Essay contest
As part of America's Heritage Month in November, Country Friends HCE is sponsor-
ing a scholarship contest. Entries for the "America's Heritage Art and Essay contest
are due to the OSU Extension Office by 5:00 p.m. Nov. 16. Those eligible to either
create an artwork or write a 250-500 word essay are Jackson County high school
seniors. Both categories will be awarded scholarships of $125, $75 and $50.
Scholarships are to be applied to a vocational technical school, junior college or uni-
versity for higher education in Oklahoma. Businesses interested in matching funds
can contact Tracy Stoup at 482-5291. Call Debbie Bates for a copy of the contest
