homa RedHawks beat Omaha
6-2 in the Pacific Coast
League. The win pulled the
Hawks within 4 1/2 games of
the PCL East division lead.
Valdes led a 12-hit attack
for the RedHawks, who scored
five runs in the second inning.
His 17th homer of the sea-
son started the big inning,
which also included a two-run
double by Hubbard and an
RBI double by Kary Bridges.
