I heard that people in Los Angeles were wor-
ried that there was a serial killer on the loose
this week. Not killing people, but dogs.
What I heard was that the first report was
about a dog being drowned at the beach, and
then another dog was found decapitated float-
ing in a creek.
Of course pet owners feared that a serial dog
killer was stalking the area and animal rights
groups and the county Board of Supervisors
offered a $20,000 reward to find the suspect.
But of course the rumors of what actually
happened to the animals was great exaggerated
and caused rumors to spread like wildfire.
It turns out that the decapitated “dog” was
actually a dead raccoon.
By the end of the week, authorities found out
the dog at the beach had not been drowned. It
was just hit by a car and was dead by the time
it was brought to the beach by its transient
owner.
Td sure like to get paid $20,000 for finding a
dead raccoon. How about you?
