Burden, 70, of Medicine Park will
be 3 p.m., Saturday at the Blair
Cemetery under direction of
Huddleston's Funeral Home of
Lawton, with Ardron Hinton,
Church of Christ minister off-
dating.
She died Thursday at her
home in Medicine Park. She was
born Dec. 29, 1925 at Foss and
grew up in the Headrick,
Friendship and Ozark area,
graduating from Ozark High
School as Valedictorian in 1942.
She married D.M. "Tence"
Burden Jan. 9. 1946 in Garden
City, Kan. She was active in sev-
eral quilting clubs, and was an
active fund raiser for the City of
Hope, Duarte, Calif.; the
American Cancer Society; the
Ladles Auxiliary of American
Legion Post 193, Medicine Park;
and Fraternal Order of Eagles,
Ladies Auxiliary of El Centro,
Calif.
Survivors include her hus-
band of the home, two sons,
James J. "Jody" of Oklahoma
City, Tence "Tinky" of Imperial,
Calif, and Thacker Bob of
Cleveland, Ohio; two daughters,
Treasea Morris of Reston Va.
and Tammy Long of Tuttle; four
brothers, Billy Walker of Olive
Hurst, Calif: Doyle and Charles
"Chuck" Walker of Sacramento,
Calif.; and Johnny Walker of
Blair a sister, Patricia Battles of
Olive Hurst, Calif.; 15 grandchil-
dren and one great-grandchild.
