ed that the pie should be baked
45 to 50 minutes in a preheated
350-degree GAS oven. If an elec-
tric oven is used, it may be nec-
essary to add 15 to 20 minutes
to the baking time. (Begin test-
ing pie with a toothpick after 45
minutes.)
The pie can be topped with a
bit of whipped cream or ice
cream, but even plain — noth-
ing tops this! (Serves 8 to 10.)

1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup firmly packed dark-
brown sugar
3 eggs, slightly beaten
1/3 cup butter, melted
1/3 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 heaping cup pecan halves
Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Oklahoma State University.

She was involved in public rela-
tions and the pledge program,
and was director of Gamma Phi
Beta sorority.
She is currently attending the
University of Oklahoma College
of Medicine and will graduate in
1995. She plans to pursue a ca-
reer in pediatrics.
Her grandmother is Mrs.
Yoshi Sunagawa, Okinawa,
Japan.
The prospective bridegroom
graduated valedictorian from
Lawton High School In 1987
where he was a member of the
Lawton High Debate Team and a
National Merit Scholar.
He graduated in 1991 from
the University of Pennsylvania
with a bachelor of arts degree in
biological basis of behavior with
a concentration in neural sys-
tems.
He was a university scholar
and a two-year letterman of the
Penn Rugby Football Club.
He is currently attending the
University of Oklahoma College
of Medicine — M.D./Ph.D
Fellowship — and will graduate
with a degree in medicine and a
Ph.D. in physiology.
After graduating from medical
school, the couple will pursue a
career in neuro science.
