securing the lighting system until a
mass meeting was called at the city
hall on Monday night when more
than 25 (-lawns assembled and dis-
cussed the methods of raisitg funds
It wits decided to call a meeting
of the various civic organizations

time and it was at this meeting

Young-McClaskeys

A large number of billiard fans
availed themselves of an opportunity
to see a former world champion shot
perform yesterday when C A Blank-
enship world's champion in 1919
gave an exhibition at Young and Mc-
Cluskey's Billiard Parlors
Both afternoon and evening per-
formances NV !a ttended by large
crowds After playing 100 points of
line-up pocket billiards Blankenship
gave a 30-minute exhibition of fancy
and trick shots which took Wall with
the fans and brought a large meas-
ure of applause
Illankenship complimented the
Young and McClaskey billiard parlor
as one of the finest in which he has
performed during his tour of the
United States and Canada He also
stated that it was one of the cleanest
and most orderly conducted halls he
ever saw
The former billiard champ is an
Oklahoma product His permanent
home is at Tulsa although he spends
most of his time on tour

"Hobo Day" Chapell

Tomorrow will be "Hobo Day" at
the local high school
Loren N Brown principal today
in an announcement in chapel period
stated that tomorrow afternoon would
be devoted to a school-wide "Hobo
Day" "Report to classes just the
same but you're not supposed to know
a thing" Brown told the students
The senior 'class will have charge
of a "Hobo" chapel program during
the sixth period tomorrow afternoon
and the entire Hobo Day activities
will be under the superivision of that
class seniors said
All school students both senior
and junior high school will dress in
a ridiculous fashion tomorrow after-
noon and the chapel program will
be a very comic one the senior class
committee on Hobo Day announced
today
