Family Reunion Held
In Amarillo Sunday
The Wright family who lived at
Rhome in Wise Co Texas at the
turn of the Century had their fam-
ily reunion at Amarillo Sunday
August 19th
There were 74 present to enjoy
the day and the basket dinner at
the noon hour There were 10 chil-
dren in the family and all were pre-
sent except Fred Wrght of Morse
Texas and the oldest sister who
passed away 5 years ago

A pink and blue shower was given
in honor of Mrs M Alvin Askins on
Monday August 20 at 2:30 p in
It was held in the educational annex
of the Assembly of God Church
Nostesses for the occasion were

and Mrs Rita Sandoval
The room was decorated with a
bassinet which had been covered
with pink ad blue A big blue bow
was placed on the handles Pink
and blue streamers were hung from
the ceiling directly above the bas-
sinet which contained the gifts
The table was covered wth a pink
lace table cloth A bouquet of flowers
completed the setting

Leave Fri For Japan
Mrs BiU Bowen plans to leave
Amarillo Friday via TWA on the
first leg of her Journey to Japan
where she wil spend a month with
her husband who is stationed near
Tokyo She will fly from Amarillo
to Los Angeles thence to Hawaii
Wake Island and finally Tokyo
In Hawaii she hopes to visit a
college mate of Mr Bowen's Ti
Ishibashi providing her lay-over is
of sufficient length Her lay-over in
Wake Island will be only about an
hour
Mr and Mrs W B Bowen of
Guymon her parents-in-law will
keep her daughter Tamela while
she is away
