makes beef for $14-03 per cwt
Fred L Harrison Tyrone Oklahoma is no a great be-
liever in feeding Purina on grass Last year on May 20 he
hauled 156 steers weighing an average of 525 lbs to grass
By June 15 they were eating 3 lbs of Purina Range
Checkers D (a complete pelleted feed) per head daily
On September 29 they were moved to a hegari field and
changed to Purina Steer Fatena a supplement to be fed
with grain On November 1 ground milo was added to
their ration On December 13 the steers averaged 930 lbs
In 205 days Harrison's steers averaged gaining 405 lbs for
a 2-lb per day gain

AREA WITHIN WHICH PACK-
AGE STORES MAY BE ESTAB-
LISHED MAINTAINED AND OP-
ERATED PROHBITING PACK-
AGE STORES IN ALL OTHER
PLACES IN SAID TOWN PRO-
VIDING A PENALTY FOR THE
VIOLATION HEREOF AND DE-
CLARING AN EMERGENCY
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF GRANITE oraa-
ROMA: Section 1 All package stores as
defined contemplated and author-
ized under and by virtue of the
Oklahoma Alcoholic Beverage Con-
trol Act of the State of Oklahoma
to be established operated or main-
tained within the Town of Granite
shall be established operated or
maintained within the following lo-
cations and none other to-wit: 1
The East Half (E 14) of Lots1
Fourteen (14) Fifteen (15) and
Sixteen (16) all of Lot Seventeen
(17) the West Half (W VI) of
Lots Seven (7) Eight (8) Nine
(9) and l'H" all In the Original
Town of Granite Oklahoma and
The South Half (S I4) of Lots
Seven (7) Eight (8) Twenty-one
(21) Twenty-two (22) Thirty-
five (35) and Thirty-six (36) in
the Bartlett Addition to the Town
of Granite Oklahoma
Section 2 It shall be unlawful for
any person firm partnership or
corporation to establish operate or
maintain a package store as defined
and contemplated by said Act at
any other place in said Town of
Granite and the establishment op-
eration or maintenance of any such
package store-at any other place in
said Town except the above-defined
arca i hereby prohibited
Section 3 Any package store as
defined and contemplated by said
Act established operated or main-
tained at any place in said Town
of Granite outside the above-defined
area Is hereby declared to be a
public nuisance
Section 4 Any person violating
any of the provisions of this ordi-
ance shall be deemed guilty of an
offense and upon conviction thereof
shall be punished by a fine in an
amount of not less than Ten'
(51000) Dollars nor more than
Nineteen ($1900) Dollars including
costs Efteh day such violation
exists shAll contsitute a separate of-
fense Section 5 It being deemed and
declared necessary for the preserva-
tion of the public health peace and
safety that this ordinance shall be-
come operative immediately where-
fore an emergency is hereby de-
clared to exist and this ordinance
shall be in force and effect imme-
diately from and after its passage
