Sale of the Barton Buick Co. of
Capitol Hill to two used-car lot
operators was disclosed Monday.
The firm is now operating under
the name of Patterson-McCarty
Buick
The new proprietors are E. W.
"Pat" Patterson and Charles W.
McCarty, who formerly had a
used-car lot at NW 13 and Broad-
way.
They bought the Buick agency
from L. O. Barton for 1107,900.
The transaction included outright
purchase of the fixtures, equip-
ment and service cars of the Bar-
ton firm, but not the property.
Exchange of the Buick new car
franchise went along with the deal.
The sale put Barton out of the
automobile business herd for the
first time in 20 years. He was
reported ready to take a 00 or 90
day rest, with future plans still
undisclosed.
