“Politics as usual” is yet to be the
attitude of the College Republicans
chapter at the University of Science
and Arts of Oklahoma. When it
comes to their political beliefs, mem-
bers are putting their "money where
their mouth is” and have been rec-
ognized for it.
The 12 members of USAO's Col-
lege Republicans chapter were hon-
ored on April 5 as the i996Best New
Chapter in the state. The award was
presented on behalf of the Okla-
homa Association of College Re-
publicansorganization in Oklahoma
City.

Chickasha FFA Reporter
The Chickasha FFA recently at-
tended the NEO Interscholastics
contest held on April 5 at
Northeastern Oklahoma A & M
College in Miami.
With the highest amount of
overall points earned in the differ-
ent events, the chapter received the
multiple-teacher sweepstakes.
The Chickasha FFA chapter took
six career development teams to
compete. The nursery and land-
scape team consisted of Rosslyn
Spencer, Crystal Hooper, Lori
Hollander, Amber Martindale, and
Sherrie Simmons.
Members also placed in the indi-
vidual ranking at the contest.
Rosslyn Spencer was first high in-
dividual, Crystal Hoorer was fourth

The livestock team that consisted
of Adam McClain, LeaAnn
Castleberry, Shane Stephens, and
Kara McLemore placed second in
this year's senior livestock contest.
Also in the contest was Adam
McClain, who took seventh high
individual. LeaAnn Castleberry and
Shane Stephens were tied for 14th
high individual in the contest.
