THE HYDRO MOTOR BICYCLE -
A motor bicycle which runs on land or water designed by an Italian and tried out successfully. The appa-
ratus is similar to any motor bicycle such as is seen in this country and is equipped with pontoons which keep it
afloat and with a rudder which is operated by the handle-ban. .

Miss Anna May Moore prepared a
email Christmas tree for her Sunday
school class of fourteen at the home
of Mrs. L N. Davis on Tuesday aft-
ernoon at 4 oclock. The little folks
enjoyed their tree and treat very
much Miss Lowry who has been
visiting Mrs. Whitehom left for
Wichita Kas. where she has a good
position Mr. and Mrs. Linn and
Boy Hill of Erie Okla en route to
Louisiana tre how for a short visit
with her cousin Mrs. Shelby Ander-
son ..The schools all over the
county packed boxes to be used for
invalid soldiers. Our school sent
about seventy-five pound boxes ' of
fruits candies cookies etc. Charlie
Campbell of Goliad Texas is here
visiting friends and relatives
Mrs. Earl Githens visited - with her
sister Mrs. Frits Uhl and her newly
arrived niece Miss Frieda Josephine.
The little miss was born Monday De-
cember 17 and weighed 9 pounds. Dr.
Hennings of -Tuttle was the attend-
ing physician. 1. B. Parker of Ok
lahoma City and Mr. Woodruff of
Anadarko were Pocaaset visitors last
Monday. Mr. and- Mrs. George Ctem-
mona dre w the new Ford car the bus-
iness men of Pocaaset gave away Jast
Saturday. They will sell it as they
had purchased them one only about
three weeks before. Mr. and Mrs.
j Knight left for their home at Wah-
leau. Mo. They had visited with her
parents. Rev. McMahan and wife....
Min Dent met with the Mothers club
. at the home of Mrs. Tom Rogers on
December 21. Plans were discussed
for the future. We will meet on
January 17 at the home of our pres-
ident Mrs. H. 0. Mclnish. If you
are interested in babies welfare do
not forget to come. There will be
interesting discussions on topics con-
cerning babies and mothers. Let each
mother be a booster Dr. Bramblett
was called to Norman on a spinal
menengrtis case. He stayed with the
patient for a few days and did all he
could but of no avail.-.' The callers
at the Brazier home Sunday after-
noon were Rev. McGregor I. H. Da-
via and family Vera Kelley Ray-
mond Kelley Miss Rilla Brazier and
Nelson Hill. Mrs. Moscow Preston
of Hominy Okla is visiting her par-
ents Mr. and Mrs. Fentress -Mr.
Dwight Station is here visiting with
friends. Mr. and Mrs. John Harris
and son J. Roy of Shawnee came to
visit her parents Mr. and Mrs. Hom-
er Canan last Saturday. Mr. Harris
left Sunday for Bison Okla where
he will help Rev. Dan Curb in a series
of meetings. Dr. Jim Bramblett of
Verden called on his brother Dr.
Thad Bramblett on Sunday morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Osborn of
. Stillwater will spend the holidays
with home folks. They are very
much pleased with the school. -Mr.
and Mrs. Hubbard of Fletcher are
visiting with her sisters Mrs. Cecil
Hanger and Mrs. Frank Longacre
and families. They will spend the
Christmas holidays here.- Rev. Mc
Gregor filled his regular appointment
last Sunday. On Sunday morning his
subject was: The Birth of Christ."
At the evening services be preached
on The New Creation. Quite a
nice crowd at both services. The
B. Y. P. U. party given at the school
auditorium on Monday evening of
last week was quite a . success al-
though one of tbs leading characters
was sick and a substitute had to be
gotten 'the day before. Everyone
seemed to enjoy the noted professors
magic lotio Many claimed the price
of admission was very small compar-
ed to the laughs they got out of see-
ing Homer Canan dunged from a
sour grouch into one of a apod dispo-
sition laughing and singing. Much
honor is due our coach Mrs. Green.
Mr. Parker of Oklahoma City was
in town Monday Mr. ud Mrs. I.
N. Davis sent the Baptist Orphans
Home a barrel and large box of ap-
ples for Christmas. -Mr. Knight
and wife and Mrs. -Edith Liles went
to Lawton Thursday and visited with
Mrs. Lites father. Dr. Mason and
family. While there they were the
guests at the banquet the Lions club
gave to the newsboys of Lawton. Dr.
Mason is a member of tbe dub.
The school adjourned until the 81st
of December. Mr. Brazier' is very
sick caused by eating -some canned
veal loaf. - Dr.' Little of Minco at-
tended him. Prof. Castles and fam-
ily left for Lone Wolfe to spend the
holidays with home folks Mr.- and
Mrs. Jess Vandal and son Kenneth
of Logert Olda. came Friday for an
extended visit with her sister Mrs.
Cedi Hanger and family before leav-
ing -for California. Mrs. Green left
Friday afternoon to join her husband
im Oklahoma City. From there they
will go to McCurtain County to visit
with his folks during the holidays.

Handkey went to El Reno on Thursday-

nounce the arrival of a big baby girl
on Monday December 17th; weight
9 pounds. Her name is Frieda Jose-

spend the holidays with his wife.
Fred Marlow went to Oklahoma City
on Tuesday and spent a few daya on
business. Mr. and Mrs. Van Meter
went to Lawton to visit their daugh-
ter Mrs. Willie Winn and family
Prof. Rogers has as his Christmas
guests his mother brother and two
sisters. Harold Peck aeems to be
better at this writing of the attack
of blood poisoning. Dr. Little of
Minco is attending him. -Mr. Dag-
endorfer and wife of Oklahoma City

son of FYeemont Neb are visiting
their relatives here. Mrs. and Mrs.
reterson will go mi to Fort Worth
and Galveston to visit friends before

Cooks have moved into town where

idsons farm Harve Barnett will
run the barber shop since Mr. Knight

erbary are spending the holidays with

The ball game at Ninnekah test Fri-
day night went in favor of their
team. At the game Otto Davidson
had the misfortune of getting his car
smashed by some one backing into it

daughter Mrs. Charles Fisher at An-
adarko. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Os
born announce the arrival of a Mg

Mrs. Picken of Chicago is visiting her

were Chickaaha visitors last Satur-

in Verdefi. They drove over Sunday
and Miss Ermalee decided to stay for

of Rush Springs Mr. and Mrs. Dick
Hurst of Oklahoma City are visitors
during the Christmas holidays at the
parental home. John Moore and Earl
Osborn are at their homes for
Christmas Miss Eunice Hill of
Chickasha returned home Sunday aft-

Herman Harper and Mize Hazel
Parke aurprised their many friends
on teat Sunday afternoon Decem-
ber 16th when they motored down to
Duncan where they secured the nec-
essary papers and then had the words
spoken that united two young heart
ae one. Miss Hazel is tha daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Parka who re-
aides north of Acme and la a yonng
lady with such pleasant appearance
and kind and loving disposition that
he is highly esteemed by all who
know. her. Mr. Harper ia a yonng
man that has made many friends
since coming into the Acme commun-
ity where he holds a good position
with the Magnolia Oil Company Ms
parents living at Marlow. Their
many friends extend their hearty
congratulations to this young couple
in wishing them all. the happiness
that can be bestowed upon them.
They are at borne at tbe residence of
J. E. Melieur where they have rooms
for the present. Mr. McCutcMng
is hauling lumber from Duncan to
build his new bungalow on bis farm
near Acme .Then was a house and
yard full of young people who
stormed the newlyweds Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Graves teat Monday night at
the home of H. W. Rowe in celebrat-
ing the wedding at the young couple.
All cars pulled up in front and all
kinds of honks were used with no
two alike so yon can guess what kind
of a noise we had. The groom ex-
pecting something like this prepared
for it by laying in n supply of apples
and oranges for the girls and cigars
for the boys (and girls too). After
pending some time in singing and
games the whole shebang went
over and visited Mr. and Mrs. Her-
man Harper where the Same pro-
gram was carried out and candy and
cigars were again served and every-
body enjoyed a good time ..It is
reported that work will soon be re-
lumed on the Warren well in 88-4-8.
We understand the machinery will be
put on the ground ae soon aa the
roads get so it can be hauled over
them and. the derrick can be rebuilt
which blew down some time ago.
The boM says if there is any oil
there they are going to go after it
before they quit . Heres luck to
you Mr. Harris Mont Bruner and
family were shopping in Chickasha
last Friday. Tobe King was a
Chickasha visitor one day last week.
- Elmer Bailey returned from Chi-
cago last Friday where he has been
for several months taking n course in
electrical engineering. Mrs. C. C.
Wood at Acme te reported .quite tick
at this writing -Mr. aito.Mrs. Her
man Harper took dinner with Miss
Doris Fanpell last Sunday. Mr.
and Mrs. L. S. Martin were Chicka-
sha visitors test Monday As these
