Recent Event
The marriage of Mi Gertrude
Hart daughter of Mr J. L. Hart
and the lata J. L Hart of Chick-
aaha and Mack I. Dlmpel of
Hobbs. N. 11 was an event of
Saturday afternoon July IS in
the Firat Presbyterian Church of
Hobbs.
Baskets of white gladioli were
the decoration in the church. The
vows were read by Rev. Denton
R. Woods pastor of the church
before a group of relatives and
friends of the couple.
Mrs. Mart Hart Dempsey of
Norman sister of the bride played
the wedding march from Lohen-
grin" for the entrance of the
bridal party and as the vows
were read she played "Consola-
tion.' Before the ceremony Nor-
man Hart of Oklahoma City
brother of the bride sang "I Love
You Truly" and "Oh Promise Me.
J. L. Hart Jr. of Chickaaha
gave his sister in marriage and
the bride'a brother-in-law and
sister Mr. and Mrs. William R.
McClurken of Hobbs were the
couples attendants. Mrs. Dimpel
wore a navy and white redingote
style frock with matching acces-
sories and a corsage of sweetheart
Mr. and Mrs. Dimpel will be
at home in Hobbs cm their return
from a wedding trip.
Mrs. Dimpel was educated in
the Chickaaha public schools the
Oklahoma College for Women and
Converse College in Spartansburg
A C. During her residence in
Hobbs where she has been em-
ployed some months by the Gulf
Company she has been active in
Little Theater work.
Mr. Diimpel who was reared
and educated in Lancaster Ohio
has been in tha employ of the
Gulf Company for 14 years and
stationed at Hobbs tha past four
years. He is the son of Mrs. C. A.
Dimpel and tha lata Mr. Dimpel
of Seminole.
Out-of-town guests for tha cere-
mony were Mrs. R. Q. Blakeney Jr.
of Oklahoma City Mrs. Mart Hart
Dempsey of Norman J. L. Hart
Jr. and William L. Hart of Chick-
