Investigating the kidnap-
ing of Mrs. Alma Wilson McKin-
ley 24-year-old oil heiress released
. late yesterday after being held cap-
tive for nearly a day today ex-
pressed the opinion her abductor
originally planned to capture and
hold for ransom her millionaire
father Benton Wilson.
The opinion Wilson wae first Intended-
as the victim was based on
a note left at tha Wilson homa by
the abductor. In which $60000 was
demanded for the release of Mrs. Mc-
Kinley an expectant mother.
. Investigators said the abductor's
plane to collect ransom for the re-
lease of Mrs McKinley were tolled
when the Wilson motor ear. In
. which she was farced to drive away
became mired In the mud near
Jarico Springe MO.
Tha note revealed lari night by
Wilson after . hie daughter had re-
turned home; waa typewritten and
"he and "him had been scratched
out In neveral places and "she" and
. "ter" written In pencil.
Upon finding Wilson away from
home officers deducted the kid-
naper changed tha note. Intending
to taka either Mrs. McKinley or her
mother. They believed he decided
upon the younger woman because ahe
waa able to drive the motor car
while her mother was not.
After the car had become mired
In the mud the abductor and Mrs.
McKinley walked along a road for
several houm during which time he
instructed her to write a note saying
aha would be. released upon pay-
ment of $30000. Apparently fearful
of capture the abductor .finally
agTtcd to tear up tha note If she
would agree not to reveal when she
was released.
She kept her wont and today had
supplied little information that would
aid officials in their search.
