Mrs. Mary Archer was honored as Bethany Na-
zarene College's Employee of the Year received the
honor Aug. 23 at the annual faculty-staff banquet.
She was chosen for the number of years experi-
ence, her level of responsibility and her approach to
the job.
"The key factor in the selection of Mrs. Archer
was her respect for the job and her encouragement
of communication among personnel,” said college
spokesman Mike Crabtree.
Mrs. Archer is a payroll clerk and has been in the
business department since 1975.
She began working for the college as a janitor 12
years ago, Crabtree said. "She has worked her way
up from janitor to key punch to data entry and pay-
roll."
Mrs. Archer received $350 and a traveling plaque.
"The choice, made by the dministrative cabi
was a secret until announced before the 200 in atten-
dance at the banquet.
The Bethany resident is married to Ronald Archer
and has four children.
