Mrs. Byron Ghent and children
are here spending the holidays

Miller to Have Big Sale

Had Big Dinner
"Dad" and Mrs. Hanan ser-
ved a sumptuous turkey dinner
on Christmas day. Those present
were Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Norris
and daughters, Mr. and Mrs.
John Israel, Mr. and Mrs. J. W.
Marriott and daughter, Mr. and
Mrs. Art Hanan, Misses Ruby
Mobley and Lamara Brewer.
After dinner the afternoon was
spent in a social way.
Dr. Sanders is enjoying a visit
during the holidays from his
wife, who is in the millinery
business at Broken Arrow.
Rev. Geo. Liddell, who is at-
tending college a t Maysville,
Tenn., is home to spend the holi-
days with his parents, Dr. and
Mrs. Robert Liddell.
Rev. Geo. Liddell preached at
the Presbyterian church Sunday
morning and his father, Dr.
Robt. Liddell filled the pulpit at
the church in the evening.
Mrs. E. J. McKinster and
children went to Oklahoma City
Christmas evening to spend the
holidays with her parents and
other relatives.

Mrs. Henry Watkins of Carth-
age, Mo., is spending the holU
days with her sister Mrs. Dave
McDonald.
Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Stoner ser-
ved a delicious 3 o'clock dinner
one day last welk in honor of
their son J. E. Stoner and wife
who arrived here from McCloud,
Calif., Wednesday to spend Xmas
with them. The table was deco-
rated with fruit which J. E.
brought with him from Califor-
nia. About 25 relatives were
present and the afternoon was
spent with music by the Stoner
orchestra.
Having some fine slaying at
present, and the first white
Christmas for a long, long time.
Saturday morning was the
coldest this winter, the ther-
mometer registering three above
i zero.

wife spent Sunday at the A. C.
James home.
Mr. and Mrs. D. H. McDonald
served a Xmas dinner to a num-
ber of their friends and relatives,
1 about twenty in all.
The Christmas tree at Rich-
land was well attended and many
nice presents were distributed
among the children.
Good many of the young folks
gathered at J. R. Smiths Satur-
day night and spent the evening
with games and music.
Chas. Hall and family of Bing-
er visited at the Israel Law and
A. D. Garlick homes the past
week. Mrs. Hall is a daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Garlick.
