"Patronize Home Induetriee"
The Booster, as well as all
other small town papers, has al- i
ways advocated and practiced!
the patronizing of home merch- j
ants and industries as much as
possible, and we believe that this
rule should be practiced by merch-
ants toward each other as. well
as our citizens patronizing our
home merchants.
We now have a chance where-
by our merchants femd other busi-
ness firms can practice what they
have always wanted the Booster
to advocate. It is this:
The Booster has accepted the

PRAYER FOR THE NEW YEAR
[By Robert Louis Stevenaon]

|URGE out every heart the lurking grudge-
Give us grace and strength to forebear and
persevere—Offenders, give us the grace to
accept and forgive offenders—Forgetful ourselves, help
us to bear cheerfully the forgetfuiness of others—Give
us courage and gaiety and the quiet mind—Spare us
to our friends, soften us to our enemies-—Bless us, if
it may be, in all our innocent endeavors—If it may
not, give us the strength to tacounter that which is to
come, that we may be brave in peril, constant in trib-
ulation, temperate in wrath, and in all changes of for-
tune, and down to the gates of death, loyal and lov-
ing one to another—Lifting up the fallen and helping
the needy.
