Miss Mary Miller who served as
society editor of the Eldorado Courier
during a part of the summer has re-
signed to enter college this fall
John Riley Thacker assistant editor -of
the Eldorado Courier was unable
to be at his desk during the week be-
ginning August 30 because of illness
Parker Rossman has succeeded Hart-
zell Schaff as a reporter on the Holden-
ville Daily News Schaff resigned to
enrol as a freshman at the University
of Oklahoma
The Kaw City News is sponsoring
a weekly program over radio station
WBBZ at Ponca City The broadcast
plays up news of the eastern part of
Kay county and the western part of
Osage ounty
Bill Logan has joined the staff of the
Lawton Constitution as a reporter He
succeeds Robert Aldo Park who re-
signed to take a position with the Bris-
tow Record Logan was editor of the
Cameron Collegian for two years

The Tulsa Spirit organ of the Tulsa
chamber of commerce changed to a
weekly publication The publication has
been reduced in size but will be en-
larged to magazine proportions when

Mrs Walter Ferguson Tulsa noted
Scripps-Howard newspaper columnist
will begin a new column this fall in
the Akron (Ohio) Times-Press Her
present column “A Woman’s View
point” appears in all the Scripps-Howard
papers thruout the country
The new column will be on the order
of Dorothy Dix’s column
Mrs Ferguson recently returned
from a two weeks' trip to Mexico
City She was accompanied by her
daughter Ruth and two sons Tom
and Benton Benton is a member of
the staff of the Fort Worth (Tex)

station will be improved by the new

Gaylord Guernsey farm entries at the
Iowa state fair at Des Moines won a

ment sponsored by the Geary Times-
Journal was held during the past week

A poem “It’s a Great Day” by
Waldo Wettengel owner of the Rush
Springs Gazette was read over a Na-
tional Broadcasting company program
recently The poem first appeared in
the Rush Springs Gazette last April
Wettengel is author of "Aw Shucks”
a tribute to Will Rogers which has
been widely read
The office and plant of the Seminole
County News have been moved to a
building adjoining the Seminole Pro-
ducer Both the News and the Producer
are owned by Mr and Mrs James T
Jackson The building is being re-
modeled and new job printing equip-
ment is being installed The News also
is adding to its stock of office supplies
