Arts and Science student in the Uni-
versity has been elected assistant
cashier of the Continental Bank and
Trust company Fort Worth Texas
This is one of the largest banks in
Texas Mr Wallenberg has had
charge of their savings department
for several years

A special election will be held by
the Student Association Thursday a

McCalib as business manager of the
LTniversity of Oklahoma Magazine
will be chosen The names of Iee
Field Edgar Keller and Louis Klos-
termeyer have been filed with Kath-
erine Barr secretary of the Publica-
tion Board In conjunction with the
election comes the announcement
that the School of Journalism is to
take over control of the Magazine
The State Board of Education has
authorized the use of the Magazine
as a source of laboratory work for
the School of Journalism and in con-
sideration of the right to control the
policy and management of the publi-
cation has agreed to become spon-
sible for any necessary deficits not
exceeding $400 annually The Pub-
lication Board will acordinglv n-
tinue the Magazine during this school
year under the present editor and the
business manager to be ele 1
Thursday The University i serves
the right to replace the editor and
business manager and beginning with
next year both these officials will be
appointed by the University
