nothing Matthews one-half Texas'
ball The Texas team lined up
swiftly on the ball the left guard
and tackle shifting to the right
wing leaving a hole between center
and end As the ball was snapped
Severin went tbrough the Texas
line and knocked the ball from the
quarter's hand Robinson recover-
ed it but was swept across his own
goal line by Severin and Pickard
scoring for Oklahoma the only two
points of the game When the
crowd realized that Oklahoma had
scored the winning points they
swarmed on the field and cheered
the victorious eleven As there
was only fifty seconds to play Texas
decided not to finish as victory was
improbable
Captain Robinson was plainly
the star of the Texas team Pick-
ard for Oklahoma was the best de-
fensive man and Severin several
times broke through the line and
stopped a play in its formation
Before the game Captain Robin-
son said that only one man would
be unable to play and that if Texas
was beaten they could not say that
they had played an inferior man
This being the first time Oklahoma
had beaten Texas the southerners
were somewhat disappointed but '
