Assistant Dean of students at Middle
Bury College in Vermont, and still
dreaming, she entered Chicago
University Ijiw School and graduated
Thomas Jefferson Medical School. They hae
moved from llouton, where Tony taught
radiology in the Community College, and
Jocelyn was Director of Orientation in the
University of Houston. Guess where her
parents will be spending their vacation ..and
SOON.
It is a fine and rare new category..His and
Hers..that is for the Louvoid Johnsons (she’s
Marian Anderson Jr. High’s Katie J.)...His
parents. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Johnson of Sand
Springs celebrated their golden wedding an-
niversay on August 16 1975, and her parents,
Mr and Mrs. William Benefield, of Pittsburg,
Kansas celebrated their golden anniversary on
September 20th The Johnsons have five
children: Marjorie, Deloris, Loretta and
Louvoid of Tulsa and Marcellus of Kansas City.
The Benefields have two: Katie of Tulsa and
Adolph who lives in Hollywood, California.
Both families celebrated the events in large and
living ways.
Representatives from eighteen Tulsa
public schools, headed by Dr. Regina Holloway,
an administrative coordinator of elementary
school reading...participated in a training
Institute sponsored by the New Century
Education Corporation, New York City Sept. 28
■ Oct. 3. The meetings were held in the Hilton
Inn in Kansas City. There was also represen-
tation from St. Louis and Washington D.C.
Oklahoma’s Bicentennial State Conference
will be held Sunday Nov. 2 • Tuesday Nov. 4 in
the Oklahoma Center for Continuing Education,
1700 Asp., Norman, Oklahoma. “Make a Wish
for America” will be the theme of the con-
ference which will have, as special guests..Mrs.
Marjorie Lunch, Deputy Administrator, AR-
BA; Dr. S.L. Abbot, regional director, ARBA
and Barbara Webb, from the office of the
Governor. At 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4 all
conference delegates are invited to attend the
Bicentennial Flag Raising Ceremony for the
Sac and Fox Tribe of Oklahoma. Mrs. Majorie
Lynch, deputy administrator of ARBA, will
present the Bicentennial Flag to the Sac and
I-ox Tribes. The Ceremony will take place on
the Sac and Fox Reservation, south of Stroud.

ficers. On October 1, 1975, an officer
meeting took place in StillWater. at
<>SU on the campus, in the Student
Union Building The propose of the
meeting was to get all officers
acquainted with the office they are
presently holding. The president
divided all different officers, into
groups so they could report to
workshop so they could get further
advance in the position that they are
holding.

Training Conference In Stihvat
Collegiate DECA Chapter and the
Oklahoma DECA Association. The
workshop was in session from 3:00 -
6:00p.m. The upcoming reorganization
of DECA was the topic of a workshop
for all DECA advisor and another
conference offering was DECA hap-
penings in 1975-76, a history of past
events of the year and a preview of
upcoming events.

Ijinsing Place. Tulsa. Oklahoma was
among the 508 students who began their
freshman year at Mount Holyoke
College this month Mount Holyoke,
located in South Hadley,
Massachusetts, was founded by Mary
Lyon's 1837 and is the oldest continuing
instituion for the higher education of
women This year the College has in-
troduced to its curriculum a new
program on the study of the ad-
numstration of complex organizations.
The program, which will include
special seminars and internship op-
portunities in varied fields, is designed
to make students more aware of the
workings of the many complex
organizations of which our society is
structured; eg , in government,
business, education, philanthropy
Mount Holyoke, which is part of a five
college consortium including Amherst.
Hampshire and Smith Colleges, as well
as the University of Massachusetts,
had an increase of 14 percent in their
applications this year
Miss Deborah E Jenkins joins the
class of 79. Miss Jenkins is an alumna
of Holland Hall where she was on the
Honor Roll and was a member of the
Yearbook staff Miss Jenkins is the
