He toured-the -country-in 1948
and 1949 with the Robert Shaw
group
While in New York he was a
pupil of Conraad von Dos and
Mack Harrell of the Metropoli-
tion Opera company
Harrell said of Rivers singing

Skirt" clinic Thursday and Fri-
day in 310 Home Economics build-
ing ''We felt perhaps many of the
girls did not know the prorr meth-
od of shortening their skirts We
decided to lend them a helping
hand" Miss Helen T (’lark in-

"Most of the skirts on the cam-
pus are too long even though the
latest Paris designers displayed
even longer skirts than they did
last year Most of the girls at OU
had their skirts too long and our
clinic is to encourage and instrurt
them to shorten their dresses to
the projier length" Miss Clark
stated

with the "shortening" process
from 2 to 4 pm Thursday and
from 1 to 4 pm Friday and we
