Ray Rickner veteran of twenty
years of college life says: "No tell-
ing what’ll happen I think the
screwiest thing is the pinball tour-
nament" The Titter's Tournament billed
as an Intramural contest is an an-
nual bout between the Sigma Chi
social fraternity and the FI Kapja
Alphas — complete with cheer lead-
ers and the selection of a "queen”
On the afternoon ot the contest
two five-man teams arrived pre-
ceded by brass bands and accom-
panled bv trainers managers and
conches galore as well as mop-ha Ir-
ed and hairy-legged queen candi-
dates A new pinball machine was
unveiled for the occasion Enthus-
iastic rooting sections were on hand
for both fraternities The Sigma
Chi's chanted:

In keeping with an annual
policy Rickner's now has avail-
able to students free of charge
the new 1949-50 school year cal-
endar It will prove a valuable aid to
students In keeping up with
school activities The calendar
lists holidays final examinations
and ail major athletic events on

The PIKA defeat was alleviated by
their candidate capturing the covet-
ed title — Queen of the Tilts
Judge Rav Rickner surveved the
parked house counted hands and
somehow came up with the winner

ing Its 16th anniversary this fall
The famous slogan "Everything for
the Student” is traditional at this
favorite haunt of Sooncrland stu-
dents Every school supply from pen-

both veteran and non-veteran stu-
dents Rickner's has been designat-
ed as an official store for filling
requisitions and honoring the chits
of veteran students attending the
University of Oklahoma under the
provisions of the GI Bill of Rights
Employees at Rickner’s have been
specially trained to facilitate the
handling of chits and requisitions
for veterans

counters and shelves at Rickner’s
Lists of books required for univer-
sity courses are on tap so that stu-

soon as their schedules have been
approved thus insuring themselves
against a possible shortage of books
