Photograph used for a story in the Oklahoma City Times newspaper. Caption: "Construction of the $1,350,000 new home for the First Christian church is over 90 percent complete. Curch leaders hope to hold the intial services under the unique shell the fisrt Sunday in July. The three units are architecturally new in church circles. First Chrisitian church has set the first Sunday of July as the target date for holding first services in the unique :Church of Tomorrow: at NW 36 and Walker. Rev. Don Sheridan, associate pastor, said the target date will be met unless something unexpected turns up in construction or furnishing the $1,325,000 church plant. The builder, Frederickson-Parker, Inc., extpects to finish construction work "sometime in May," Bon Parks reported...The project, the builder concedes, is "like nothing anywhere in the country." Despite the unique design, however, he said construction has been complicated by a few unexpected problems except extremes of weather."
