The county will furnish equipment and manpower and build the crossing. Schreck, in demanding construction of the SE 15 crossing, argued that the city had expected to spend $25,000 to $50,000 on the Agnew crossing but would spend only around $12,000 due to the co-operation of county commissioners. He said remainder of the money should go to reopening SE 15, where the bridge was removed several months ago for construction of the floodway. Councilmen had promised to try to find money in the city's general operating budget to finance the S Agnew crossing. Up until the time the county;s offer was recieved, officials said they had been unable to find the necessary funds."
