IS School is out, simultaneously with the appearance of
g the current issue of HARLOW’S WEEKLY. But,
through a large portion of the summer another term of
school, called “summer school,” will be held in many
educational institutions of the state. The pedagogue
really has little rest—in most instances he does not want
it. For, with the close of the regular school term, if he
is not teaching summer school, he is actively endeavor-
ing to augment his own learning, either by actual study
or by travel, so that he may become a better teacher with
the advent of the new term of school.

best-known educators in the state, dealing with the peda-
gogue’s own problems. We intend to increase the number
of these articles as time goes on. And—this is addressed
particularly to those teachers who remain within the
confines of Oklahoma during the warm summer months
-we intend to keep right on furnishing such special
articles to the best of our ability during the summer.
We can only hope that our efforts will be at least bene-
ficial and interesting in a small way to the teachers of
Oklahoma.
Consequently, this is especially addressed to those edu-
cators who remain in the state throughout the summer
months, teaching or studying. We have made an earnest
.endeavor to make HARLOW'S WEEKLY interesting, in-
structive and valuable to the teaching profession of Ok-
lahoma, not only in the matter of information, accurate
and concise, on governmental and political matters, but
also within their own field, education. We have had
