gas main explosion wrecked several
houses in South Philadelphia today
and it was reported that more than
30 persons were injured
The side was ripped out of one
house by a first explosion and sev-
eral minutes later another explosion

A blaze followed the first exposian
and three alarms brought firemen
from throughout the aiea to the
scene.
A policeman was reported to have
been injured fatally when he entered
one house.
