body man. He loved to paint,
play music, writing songs and
spending time with his grand-

Sapulpa left this world to join
her Heavenly Father and par-
ents on Friday. October II.

She was born to John David
and Lynn Carder on January
14. 10X0 in Sapulpa. Mindy
attended Beggs and Morris
Schools She was very active
in sports, lettering in basket-
ball and track. She also attend-
ed modeling school in Tulsa.
Her smile could light up any-
one's day. She enjoyed doing
crafts, especially with her
daughter. Harley, whom she
loved very much. Mindy was
full of love for her family. She
was very thankful to Tammy
and Clint for taking such good
care of Harley.
She was preceded in death
by her parents John D. and
Mindy Carder
Lynn (Hall) Carder: her pater-
nal grandfather John B.
Carder: maternal grandpar-
ents, John Mark and Jackie
Hall: uncle, Mike Martin;

Nancy Green Chapter meets

The members of the Nancy
Green Chapter. Oklahoma
Society Daughters of the
American Revolution met for
their fall breakfast meeting at
the Sapulpa Cafe Oct. 12 with
11 members and one guest in
attendance.
While enjoying food and
fellowship members heard
from several Committee
Chairmen. American Indian
Committee Chairman shared
information from the NSDAR.
Commemorative Events
Chairman reported on the
NSDAR 123rd Anniversary.
Constitution Committee
Chairman gave information on
the signers of the Constitution.
Celebrate America Chairman
asked all members to be sure
and keep a log their communi-
ty service hours.
Veterans Chairman
explained the instructions for
the Homeless Veterans Stand
Down that wit! happen Oct. 26
at the American Legion in
Sapulpa as several members
are volunteering that day. The
Conservation Chairman gave
an overview of the commit-
tee's purpose and shared proj-
ects for the members to partic-
ipate in.
The next meeting will be
Nov. 12 at the Sapulpa
Historical Society Museum at
10:30 am. All meetings arc-
open to the public.
Oklahomans have organ-
ized as a part of the DAR for
over 100 years and have 4.3
active chapters with 3.000
members statewide.
The Nancy Green chapter is
responsible for maintaining
the grave and headstone of
Chief Sapulpa and familv
Genealogy Club meets

Sapulpa Genealogy Club met Oct. I in the
Frank Hall at the Sapulpa Public Library .
The Business meeting was lead by the presi
dent Karen Dagg. Committee reports were
given.
Jean Davidson reported that he marriage
indexing should start again by the first of next
month. Carletta Webb advised the group that the
surname card box is to be indexed by ancestor's
name.
Genealogists are encouraged to fill out cards
of who they are searching. When visitors come
to the library they may be searching for your
people. Other business that was discussed was
the election of the president and treasurer for
2014 and 2015. Karen Dagg and Jean Davidson
were elected to continue as president and treas-
urer.
Cathy Mattix reported that the Oklahoma
Cultuial Heritage Trust exhibit on "Caring for
Family Treasures" was coming to the Sapulpa
Library in January 2014. The date for the
December meeting was changed from Dec 3 to
Dec 10.2013
A very interesting program was presented by
the Daughters of the American Revolution
DAR member Sarah McGuire interrupted the
life of the wife of one of her ancestors w ho w as
at the battle at Bryan Station. Ky

PE0 Chapter D.T. meets

home of Donna Patterson on
Oct. 10. Co-hostesses for the
luncheon were Sharon
Gibson and Beverly
Chambers.
A nice program was pro-
vided by Melinda Pritchard, a
personal trainer and fitness
instructor at Anytime Fitness
in Sapulpa. She outlined a
fitness plan of starting where
you are and setting goals.
She said to write down activ-
ities you use in your daily
life. Her third idea was to
have intentional fitness every
week.
She said to try moderate
exercise for 30 minutes a day
five times a week.
The members enjoyed her
program very much. After
the presentation President
Mary Craig conducted a busi-
ness meeting. The meeting
was then adjourned.
