Betty Romine was escorted to Heaven by a
hand of angels on Thursday, January 31,2013.
Betty was bom in Hominy, Okla., on May 25,
1929. She was a lover of cats. Rescuing hun-
dreds of starving, abused and neglected cats
over the years. Providing them with food, shel-
ter and the special love only she could provide.
She also loved gardening, her green thumb
kept her yard alive with color and beauty for all
to enjoy.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Jack W. Romine.
She leaves behind four children, Margaret,
Jo Anne, Jack and Tommy; sister Ida, numerous
grandkids and great-grandkids as well as her
true treasured housecats Peewee and Bear.
Special thanks to Dr. Sharon Noel, for the
health care and gracious compassion that only a
great physician can show.
Also to the wonderful folks at Good Shepherd
Hospice, especially Sharon, Shawn and Connie
for their kindness.
Graveside service will be held at I p.m.
Monday. February 4. 2013 at Kellyville City
Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers please donate to an animal
shelter or just feed a hungry animal.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction
of Smith Funeral Home, Sapulpa.

When Laird came back out,
an assistant manager and a loss
prevention officer were wait-
ing on her. They stopped her.
Employees said they went
back into the restroom and
found seven opened DVD s.
Witnesses said they saw
Laird take five DVD s out ol
her purse and place them on a
shelf on her way back to the
restroom. Store officials said
the dozen DVD s totaled
$218.56.
Police asked Laird about
the incident. She said she went
to the store to buy DVD s for
her children. She said she was
going to take them, but got
scared and attempted to return
them.
She told them about her

ticketed for petit larceny.
Police confirmed the cita-
tion.
After Laird’s booking at the
Sapulpa Municipal Jail, police
transported her to the Creek
County Justice Center. She
posted her $1,500 bond and
was released.
