Birthday Party
Tenth birthday anniversary
of Susan Kay Boyd was the
occasion for a party held in
her home, 118 W. Cleveland.
Hostess was her mother, Mrs.
Howard Boyd, from 1 to 3 p.
m. Saturday.
Games entertained the guests.
Refreshments were served
from a table centered by a
jack-in-the-box, with balloons
and streamers suspended above.
The cake was decorated with
pink candles, with the honoree’s
name written in pink across the
top.
Favors for each girl were
balloons and bracelets.
Guests were Leah and Deb-
bie Steel, Nancy Hughes, Nancy
Tifft, Teresa McReynolds,
Christy Walkup, Judy Hill,
Tulsa, and the honoree. Adults
present were Mrs. Harold Steel
and Mrs. Boyd.
Also in honor of Susan Kay’s
birthday was a Friday evening
party for her Camp Fire group.

Thanksgiving and the weekend
her son and family, Mr. and

They arrived by plane Wednes-
day night from their home in
Chicago.
They are also visiting in Tulsa
with Mrs. Helen easier, mother
of Mrs. John Doremus, and other
members of her family.

were Thanksgiving dinner guests

house celebrating the 80th birth-
day anniversary of the younger
Mrs. Doremus’ grandmother,
Mrs. F rank Shands. Among those
attending will be three of her
grandchildren, and nine great-
grandchildren.

Mrs. Ruby Roberts, 720 S.
Cedar, is a patient in Okla-
homa Osteopathic hospital for
treatment. She is in room 342.
County Meeting
Of Legion Held
At Bristow Hut
Department officers and other
guests were in attendance at the
meeting of Creek County
Association of the American
Legion and its Auxiliary held
recently in Bristow.
Guests included Mrs. Herman
Reimink, department president
of the auxiliary, and Mr. Rei-
mink, Art R. Tuner,Jr.,Ameri-
can Legion adjutant, Walter W.
Bonham, department of child
welfare, American Legion, all
of Oklahoma City, also Mrs.
Ella Ruth Hill, Oklahoma City,
and Mrs. Alta Sherman, Del
City.
Mrs. Reimink announced dates
of the gift shops at the veterans
hospitals, and asked all who can
to attend one. The date of the
Oklahoma City hospital party is
Dec. 11, and the Muskogee hos-
pital date is Dec. 14.
Tyler spoke on the legislative
bulletin and the national ceme-
teries. He announced visits of
the national commander William
E. Galbraith of Nebraska,
national commander, to Okla-
horn a. He will be in Bartles-
ville Dec. 8, the major event to
be at the homecoming party
for department commander
Eldridge Colston on Dec. 9 at
Texhoma lodge.
Walter Bonham, child welfare
chairman, informed members on
the legion home school and need-
ed playground equipment.
A program by gospel singers
Richard Skinner, Bill Daley,
Carl Poston and Bob Southard’
was presented by the Bristow
post, with Mrs. Lloyd Taylor
accompanist.
Next county meeting will be
Dec. 12 at Drumright. Jellies,
candies, fruits and cookies are
to be brought. They will be
taken to the veteran’s ward at
the Norman hospital, and the
Legion HomeSchool, Ponca City,
for Christmas.

Had Dinner And
Program Meeting
Woman’s Society of Christian
Service, Wesley Methodist
church, met at the church re-
cently for its November pro-
gram and Thanksgiving dinner
held in the church basement.
Mrs. Cecil Gale was incharge
of the business meeting. Mrs.
Herbert Riser, program chair-
man for November, presented
the program on "Residence
Home Finds A Way.” She was
assisted by Mrs. Blanche Hagen,
Mrs. L. R. Morfbrd and Mrs.
Owen Gilbreath.
A get well card was signed
and sent to Mrs. H. C. Bacon
who is a hospital patient.

wedding anniversary of Mr. and
Mrs. HerbertH. Bilbro,Mounds,
was observed at the home of
their daughter and son-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Davis,
1111 Burroughs Road.
It was a family day with the
Bilbro’s son and family, Mr.
and Mrs. W. A. Bilbro and
daughter Jan, Okmulgee, here
for the occasion. Also guests
were the Davis’ daughter, Jane,
student at University of
Arkansas at Fayetteville, at
home for the holidays, and her
guest, Miss Ai Ping, Chinese
student at University of
Arkansas.
Mr. and Mrs. Bilbro were
married on Thanksgiving day
in 1905 at Bowling Green, Mo.

Dinner Meeting
CB Club Event
Sapulpa CB Club members and
guests formed a party for dinner
Saturday night at the vocational
agriculture building, Sapulpa
high school. Fifty-seven mem-
bers and guests attended.
A delicious baked ham menu
was served from tables decorat-
ed in the traditional Thanks-
giving theme.
After the dinner hour movies
of recent club functions were
shown.
Next meeting of the club will
be Dec. 5, at which time officers
for the coming year will be
elected. ___
Rhode Island is also known as
Little Rhody.
A pot luck dinner at 6:30 p.
m. Tuesday preceded the
program for members of Pearl
Pickett circle, First Methodist
church. The affair was held
in the home of Mrs. Leonard
Fears, 744 N. Moccasin Place,
with Mrs. Chester Graham co.’
hostess.
Tables were decorated in the
Thanksgiving theme, with covers
laid for Mrs. G. H. Aston, Mrs.
Wilson Cupp6, Mrs. W. O. Den-
ton, Mrs. Glen Echols, Mrs.
John Frank, Mrs. Howard
Gaines, Mrs. CecilGibson.Mrs.
