Choice by 25,000.
Oklahoma City, Okla , Nov. 9 —
Lee Cruce was elected as the next
governor of Oklahoma over Joe Mc-
Neal, the Republican candidate of
Gutheric by a majority of 20,009 to
25.000 Tuesday.
The official vote will not he known
tor a week yet.
The local optionists appear to have
lost their constitutional amendment
I which was to have overthrown pro
prohibition.
Reports show that the total vote of
the state was between 205,000 and
270.000
To have earned, local option and
all other constitutional amendments
that were voted upon would have had
to received 135,000 votes. I he
wets may have polled 115,090, hut
there is no indications that they re-
ceived more than that I he suffra-
gists may have received 11)0,000, hut
propaldy no more.
Dick T. Morgan claims his re-el
ection to congress by a majority of
I from 1,800 to 2,000 votes while la-
mer F. Fulton does not specify any
exact figure, hut declares that his ma-
i jority w ill be considerably in eveess
of 1,200 votes
Morgan, in an estimate this even-
ing declared that he had carried the
following counties: Kllis. 250;
Woodward, 400; Woods, 350: Al-
falfa, 375 ; Major, 4(>2; Blaine, 390;
Caddo, 50; and Canadian, 125. Mr
Morgan concedes Custer county is
i Democratic by 175 votes.
That Roger Mills and Grady coun-
ties w ill give a Democratic majority
of 150 and 100 respectively, is his
belief.
Reports from all portions of the
district are slow in coming in, but
Mr. Fulton points to the fact that in
many of the precints of the district
thus far heard from. Morgan has a
greatly reduced majority compared
with that he received two years ago.
Dr. Cieorge Conger of the Anti-
Saloon league claims that the local
option and high license hill is defeat
ed by 25,000 while the local option
supporters claim the state by 30,000.
Dr. Conger Wednesday exhibited
telegrams which showed that Texas
county was dry by 500 votes, Mus"
kogee city dry by 500; twenty of
thirty six precints in Pontotoc county
dry by 225; Woodward dry by 500;
Mangum town dry by 200 and Greer
county by 600, and Woods and Har-
per and Kllis counties dry without the
majorities being specified.
Only three towns thus far heard
from have gone wet.- Tulsa, Guth-
rie and Aidmore.
Nathan A. Cole in a telegram
sent to Milwaukee shortly afternoon
claimed that Grady Caddo, Jefferson
Murray and Love counties had gone
wet, although the majorities had not
yet been received. He conceeded a
dry majority in Bryan county.
Dr. Conger states that telephone
messages indicate Choctaw county to
he dry by 200; NN ashmgton county
wet by 200; Jackson county by 1,-
500, and an estimate of Washit;
county places the vote at four to one
for prohibition and in Kiowa countv
three to one for prohibition.
1 hirty two of thirty nine precincts
in Carter county gave a total vote of
2,637, with 1,492 votes cast in favor
of the hill.
Creager Defeated
by 1,800.
Muskogee, Okla., Nov. 10. — Con
gressman Creager this afternoon con-
ceeded his defeat and his private sec-
retary and those in charge at his
headquarters placed the figures at
1,800.

J. J. Jones, Republican, defeated
Clarence Davis for the senatorship
from the Tenth district, comprimis
mg Creek, and Payne counties.
Jones will carry Creek county by
at least 300 majority and he carried
Payne by just a little better than 200.
In the latter county Jones led the Re-
publican ticket, which was success-
ful all along the lire with the excep-
tion of one candidate for county com-
missioner.
