Speaks of County Results.
Senator Fred Tucker when asked
about the relative strength of the
socialist republican and democratic
parties of the county scid that he
did not see where the socialists had
gained very much strength and that
on the whole the republicans had
lost In almost every precinct. That
1!) precincts out of the 40 showed
thai the democrats had polled twice
as many votes as the republicans
and socialists combined.
His estimate of the votes of the
comity showed as follows: Social-
ists r.'is republicans 771 democrats
2.0J5 and showing a grand total of
3437 votes polled which represents
between 80 per cent and S3 per cent
of the voting strength of the county.
When asked if he thought the so-
cialist opponent of Kirkpatrick for
county commissioner had defeated
him he said that he thought there
was no foundation for the report
other than that two precincts in
Klrkpatriek's commissioner's dis-
trict which were heretofore demo-
cratic had gone socialist.

the election were read. M. D. Smith
stated that it was a misfortune for
the party that pleasant weather pre-
vailed there yesterday and when he
sennned the figures that announced
that Taft had only carried the state
over Wilson by 7850 votes he be-
came reminiscent and related tales
of the former twenty thousand ma-
