“Bug Tracks”
“We went down last week to
see how little “Johnnie” was
getting on in the Byrne Business
College. We found the^chool in
full swing, with the superintend-
ent in charge, ready to show us
over the school and explain how
the work is done. They do
things at' our State University
up in fine shape, but these pro-
fessors at the business college
have got things”. According
to the estimation our recent
selves, if we had attended such
a school as this, Mr. Roosevelt
would be quite a lad compared
to us. The little “Johnnie”
came out home last Sunday, and
as soon as he landed he began
spouting shorthand in every did
rection. Thinks we to ourselves
“We’ll fix you, my boy”, so we
had him to write a business let-
ter as we dictated it, knowing
he could not remember its con-
tents, and to our delight and
astonishment, that booger read
those bug tracks better than we
can read these letters after they
get cold. Now, boys, you who
are not in attendance, get the
old man to let you go as soon as
you get the cotton out. We
know several boys who will en-
ter on Janurary 1st, 1908. This
is the best opportunity for a busi-
ness training ever offered the
young people of this section, and
every boy and girl who can do
so should attend. It takes four
or five years to go through our
“dudo” colleges and become pro
ficient in baseball, football, and
toting a war gun, but you can, in
three or four months, learn at
this school something that will
fit you for a business career that
you will be proud of some day

the famous Byrne Simplified

ing, and Bnsiness Training in
this section. Young friend,
