whom you had selected to go to
the local meet on April 1 were
not able to attend the meet on
account of the had weather they
may come and enter the county
meet next Friday and Saturday.
If you have a school exhibit of
any kind and were not able to en-
ter it at your local meet, be sure
to bring it to the county meet.
The Reading contests below
High School will he given on Fri-
day. They are scheduled to he*
I gin nt one o’clock, but if there
are enough present we may begin
about ten in the forenoon.
The High School rcadi tg and
contest in music will be Friday
night nt the Methodist church.
The Spelling and Rapid Calcule-
tion will he Saturday morning at
the High School Building. Don’t

The Democracy of Washita County
In Convention nssembled on this the
1st day of April, 1016, resolve an fol-
lows:
1., We llolnt with pride to the spier
dltl achlewementa of our party under
the leadership of Woodrow Wilson In
the IVatTonal Congress of the Ualted
States, and render grateful apprecia-
tion to our President In hln efforts to
uphold abe honor of our country In
foreign diplomacy and at the name
time maintain peace and friendly re-
lations with «11 the nations of the
world. We also commend his policy
of watc4iflil waiting In the Mexican
question and heartily endorse the
punitive expedition now In search of
Villa and his band of murderera.
2. The State Administration of Ok-
lahoma. entrusted by the people to the
democracy of the State has proven
worthy of the trust, and we endorse
the same, having carried out as it
has every itatform pledge with econo-
my and efficiency as the watchword.
3. The Democratic Administration
of Washita County has been prollclent
and economical and we endorse the
same, anil urge the people to continue
their confidence In the County Demo-
cracy.
4. In aamuch lhat the former In
dlan Territory, Section of our present
State has furnished the member of
the Democratic National Committee
of fills State for the pasl eight years,
In the person of Honorable Tate Brady
and the Honorable Robert Galbraith,
both of whom are capable and trust-
worthy citizens, and have performed
their duties, to the satisfaction of all,
we deem It-but right that «he Western
Section of Oklahoma should be given

for the next four ywars. Since State-

has furnished three Governors, and
the west side has loyally supported
