Feted at Shower
Miss Doreen Bomhoff, bride-
elect of Alvin Chappell, was honor-
ed at a bridal shower Thursday
afternoon in the home of Mrs.
Lawrence Chappell, west of El
Reno.
Mrs. Clarence Chappell, Mrs.
Harry Von Tungeln, Mrs. Darold
Chappell and Mrs. L. A. Chappell
were assistant hosteses.
A miniature bride centered the
lace-covered table and bouquets of
lilies decorated the mantel. Pink
streamers extended from the bride
to the gifts which were display-
ed an the table. A pink and white
'color scheme was used to further
decorations.
Contests were played and the re-
mainder of the afternoon was
spent informally.

Mrs. J. T. Morgan gave the devo-
tionals from "Upper Room" after
which the group repeated the
Lord’s Prayer.
Mrs. J. N. Roberson and drs.
Jones reported on the recent Meth-
odist conference held in Oklahoma
City.

Mrs. H. B. Lumadue presented a
playlet, "Every Woman in Back
of the Program." Others taking
part were Mrs. C. W. Zimmerman,
Mrs. T. W. Rader, Mrs. George
Foreman, Mrs. George Purcell, Mrs.
R. P. Sowers and Mrs. Ray Dill-
ingham.
Mrs. Dillingham, circle chairman,
conducted a business session. An
auction sale was held and plans
were made for summer work.
Refreshments were served to
three visitors, Mrs. Foreman, Mrs.
Miss Mary Ann Shepherd, whose
engagement to Stanley R. Hicks of
Blackwell, has been announced by
her parents, is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. P. W. Shepherd, Concho.
Mr. Hicks is the son of H. C. flicks,
'Blackwell. The marriage will take
place at 8:30 p. m. Sunday, July 2C,
in the First Presbyterian church
with the pastor, Rev. Everett Poole,

try club. She now is employed by

Mr. Dull is a graduate of El
Reno highschool where he was a
neinber of the Senate Debating
society and Hl-Y. He lettered in
football and wrestling. He spent
five years in the United States

service in Germany and Japan. He
attended the University of South-

lone and one-half years and now
| is a sergeant in the national guard
