CALENDAR
The 28th Anniversary of the West
Way club was observed by mem-
bers Monday in the home of Mrs.
II. B. Wilson, 414 South Choctaw.
Assisting hostess was Mrs. Ed-
ward Hamburger.
A turkey dinner was served at 1
o'clock at two long tables, covered
with white linen cloths. The tables
were centered with arrangements
of yellow jonquils and ferns.
Invocation was given by Mrs.
Emil Doeberitz.
A brief business session followed
the dinner, conducted by Mrs. H.
V. Yowell, president.
Games furnished the entertain-
ment for the afternoon with high
score in bridge going to Mrs. Hay
McCormack. High score in hearts
was won by Mrs. Ralph Turner.
Traveling prize was presented to
Mrs. H. S McGee.
Others members present were
Mrs. Don Ahern, Mrs. John Loren-
zen, Mrs. E. 0. Hamilton, Mrs.
Kelly Murphy, Mrs. Mabel Miller,
Mrs. Edna Maurer, Mrs. W. 1 Wy-
rick, Mrs. Vela Wilson, and Mrs.
Jewell Grabfelder.
Next meeting will be April 4 with
Mrs. Lorenzen, 417 North Evans.

Has Tuesday Dinner
A dinner was held at noon Tues-
day in the IOOF hall by members
of the Woman's Benefit association,
preceding their regular meeting.
Mrs. H. S, McGee, president, had
charge of the business session. In-
vocation was given by Mrs. Emil
Doeberitz, chaplain.
Mrs. Doeberitz, card chairman,
reported on the birthday, ‘‘get
well” and sympathy cards sent to
members. Flowers were sent to
Mrs. Frank Smith, Mrs. William
Chilton, and Mrs. C. W. Maddux.
Others present were Mrs. Don
Ahern, Mrs. John Lorenzen, Mrs.
H. B. Wilson, Mrs. 11. G. Crum,
Mrs. Mabel Miller, Mrs. Hay Mc-
Cormack, Mrs. E. 0. Hamilton,
Mrs. W. I. Wyrick, and Mrs. Edna
Maurer.

mony today at the First Presbyter-
ian church.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs.
A. L. Williams, 603 South Bickford,
and the bridegroom is the son of
Mr. and Mr*. I J. Station, 712 West
Ixmdon.
Rev. Otto Bcrgncr officiated at
the double-ring ceremony.
For her wedding the bride wore
a street-length dress of white nylon,
trimmed with pink rosebuds. Her
headdress was of pink rosebuds
and for something blue she wore
a garter, a gift from her grand-
mother, Mrs. Hugh Holland of
Concho.
Following a wedding trip to Ark-
ansas, the new Mr. and Mrs. Stat-

Teachers association unit Tuesday

Guest speaker for the afternoon
was Dr. James P. Jobe, who spoke
on "Childhood Diseases.”
Devotions were led by Mrs,

The second grade had the most
mothers present.
Hostesses for the social hour
were mothers of children in the
fourth and fifth grades.

Needlecraft Club Has
Hospital Robe Project
Needlecraft club members made
plans for their club project Wed-
nesday afternoon at the home of
Mrs. C. S. Browning, 206 North K
Their project will be making
robes and pajamas for patients at
Crippled Children’s hospital at
Bethany who are able to use wheel
chairs.
The remainder of the afternoon
was spent doing hand work.
Members present were Mrs. John
Layton, Mrs. Oscar Williams, Mrs.
Dewey Carroll, Mrs. Bill Gray,
Mrs. E. R. Harrison, and Mrs. H.
H. Bray.
Mrs. Bray, 210 North K, will be
hostess for the March 23 meeting.
Guests were Mrs. Sadie Pitts of
Orange Cove, Calif., and Mrs. Gold
ie Murphy of El Reno.
Other members attending were
Mrs. Homer Miller, Mrs. Bruce
Miller, Mrs. Wade McCann, Mrs.
Herschel Smith, and Mrs. John
Denwalt.
Next meeting will be April 12 at
the home of Mrs. Wade McCann.
A Damrosch Music club meeting
was held Wednesday morning in
the home of Mrs. David DeLana,
918 South Macomb, with Mrs. H. O.
Lokensgard, vice president, in
charge.
The program was opened with
the El Reno highsehool girls' trio
singing "April in Portugal." They
are Evelyn Romine, Vonda Mas-
ters and Una Mae Hurt. They were
accompanied at the piano by Mar-
tha Kisner.
A vocal solo "Clouds” (Charles)
was presented by Mrs. Lloyd Von-
Tungeln with Mrs. E. A. Jackson
as her accompanist. Mrs. David
DeLana, pianist, played Chopin's
"Valse" and this was followed by
a song by Miss Ixniise Spears.
"A Robin Sang in the Elmwood
Tree” (Richard Kountz) was her
selection and Mrs. David DeLana
accompanied her.
Mrs. Frank Evans played a
piano solo "Fifth Nocturne” (Ley-
bach). This was followed by a
piano duet of the first movement
of "Broudenhurg Concerts" (Bach)
played by Mrs. Paul Licbmann and
Mrs. DeLana.
Final selection was given by the
chorus "Open Thy Heart” (Bizet)
under the direction of Mrs. Merle
Woods, with Mrs. DeLana accom-
panying.
Next meeting will be March 23
in Wesley Mhetodist church. This
will be the Easter program and
open to the public.
