of the family ot 10-year-old Charles

tial liome last Sunday night, gave
rise to speculation today that con-
tact had been made with the ab-

troversial $135,000 farm drouth re-
I lief bill today by a single vote. 53
to 52. then voted for a thorough
I investigation of the state social
j welfare commission and payment

It was reported the senate might
later try to obtain passage of the
bill by receding from all amend-
ments and accepting the original
house drouth relief measure.
In executive session, the senate
