Thursday of last week several of
the neighbors gathered at O. P.
Woody's, east of Carney and chop-
ped him a few loads of wood. Mr.
Woody is one of our oldest citizens
and is almost 78 years old. This
fall and winter he has almost been
laid up with rheumatism and
consequently unable to do much
strenuous labor. On account of the
rainy weather the most of the men
were busy shucking corn or bailing
hay, but those that were put in good
time, and those that failed to come
promised to Rive a day later on.
Now, friends, let us all get together
and make Mr. W his winters wood,
as he wont be able to fot self this
winter. What he has will last thru
this month. A xriend
