A Bountiful Pounding
Annual Conference is over and
I am to serve the good people of
Blair for another year. Many
kind and encourging words have
been said to me of my return to
this charge. I don’t believe a
letter or a more appreciative
people can be found than the
people of Blair. They know just
how to make & preacher feel
that they appreciate his efforts,
and they do it On last Friday
night without a moments warn-
ing, or any time for preparation
a storm swooped down on the
parsonage in the form of about
one hundred men, women and
children. There was no way of
preacher, notwithstanding the
ordeal though which he had past
tried to make them a short talk,
after which prayer was offered
for the prosperity of Zion and
the good people of this communi-
ty.
After the smoke had cleared
away we began to take an inven-
tory and we found meat, lard,
coffee, sugar, can goods; in fact,
every thing that is good to eat
May God bless this people
spirtially and temporally.
It shall be my earnest endev-
er to serve this people in such a
way as to help them to higher
plains in Christian living.
