Senate bill giving to Anadarko tlio

purposes. This sumeomesfromtho sule
of town lots unil though much dolajed
will enable the citj to make some
much needed Improvements and pro-
vide some necessities such as water-
works light sewerage school houses
streets and etc. With these additions
to tho comforts comenletices and ap-
pearenco of the city we will assume a
metropolitan air unkuow to the towns
in the old strip.
Work on the public improvements
will gle employment to three or four
hundred men who will stciiil their
earnings with our home merchants and
thus help to tide oier the usual dull
summer.
Waterworks will improve the sani-
tary condition of the town and tender
a sewerage system possible But most
important ot ull it will lower the rate
of Insurance from twelve to two per
per cent thus saving to our citizens
hundreds of dollars which otherwise
would bo seut out of the citj. Sewer-
ago will relieve the soil of the burden
of absorbing all the waste products

the presence of such mutter always

Teachers Annual Institute
The first annual session of the Caddo
county Teachers Institute will convene
June 2.J l'.IO-J in Anadarko und will
continue four weeks.
It is of gieatimportanco that every
teacher In tho county and every jier-
son expecting to touch in tho county
should be in attendance at this Insti-
tute. Tho foundation of a hystem of
public schools is being laid; the clllcl-
ency and success of the system to
bo established will depend largely up-
on the zeal scholaiship and professs-
ional skill of the teachers who are to
direct tho work in tho dilferent school-
rooms. The aim of our Institute will
bo to strengthen teachers along this
line. The best attainable talent for
instruction has been secured ond their
aim will bo to conduct the exercise so
us to creuto enthusiasm to give edu-
cational lnsplratisu; und to oxemnllfly
the best methods of Instruction and dls

Again wo urgo all teachers and
friends of education to enroll with us.

Our New Hotel on B St.
E. W. King leimned home this
morning w ith a smile 011 his face a
yaid long lie has been to Wan-
tonga aud Enid in the Territory
and also visited several points in
Texas to secure a tenant for the
large hotel that ie hood to be erect-
ed 011 the comer lot just east of the
National Bank 011 B stieet. When
E. V King goes alter a thing he
geuerally lands it. You could al-
most hear him smile as he said

Postmasters.

Theposiolliee department has de-
cided to defer the appointment of
presidential postmasters in Hobait
Anadaiko and L.iwton until next
November.
These are fourth class oflices
now. A readjustment of salaries
of postmasters will not be made un-
til October as that they will not
become presidential until after
that time.
No new appointments will there-
fore be made until possibly next
