Vinita is known throughout the j

It is not because- there are no
hoodlums and toughs residing
here but is found in the restraint
which has been put upon them by
Marshal Ledbetter. The bone and
einew of the opposition to his re-
election is this same hoodlum ele-
ment. The people of the Indian terri
tory are capable of kindergarten
reaioning to eay the very least
and this leads them to believe the
Moon bill providing for a tempo-
rary territorial form of govern-
roeot would be far tetter than to
be bound and gagged four years
under the Soper county seat mou-
strocity. The Moon bill is the
best thing in sight and is a step
toward settled; tangible govern-
ment. Sacgers cf Pneumonia.

Foley's Forecast.
Mr. C. F. Foley of Eufaula
chosen by the Muskogee qonven-
tion to represent Indian territory
at Washington in the fight for
single statehood has returned from
his trip east and is confident that
Indian territory will be given a
territorial form of government.
In an interview Mr. Foley has
said:
"The Moon bill is apparently
the only bill affecting the territory
that can pass this congress. It is
certain of passage in the house
and has good chances of getting
through the senate.
"In the Moon bill the county
eats and boundaries are to be de-
termined by the legislature but
Eufaula will ba a county seat.
There is simply no doubt about it.
"I think Indian territory's
chances for a government are as
good as Oklahoma's are for state-
hood and I believe Indian terri
tory will get a territorial form of
government this congress."
