morning for a couple of days visit In

day looking after their father's estate.
Caroline Fields an aged woman liv-
ing in the northeast part of town died

George Daniel a representative of
the Muskogee Times-Democrat was

Lynch is near the new town of Strang
on the M. O & G. and will soon be
one town.
K F. Nix county clerk and George
Ashby county surveyor drove out to
Mr. Nix's farm this morning to do
some surveying. The boys around the
court house say that Mr. Nix is hav-
ing some hog lots surveyed off witli
a view of moving back to the farm.
Dr. W. A. Day. Clyde Jenkins K. J.
Alcliiide. Marion Sinierson Joe Madi-
son and George Adams were passen-
gers from Big Cabin this morning. Mr.
Adams says his brother Dr. F. M.
Adams will move to Vinita soon to get
ready to open the asylum of which he
is superintendent.
Prof. L. S. Warden and wife Mrs.
Dr. Brown Tom Mudd and W. C. Win-
frey were up from Big Cabin last
night. Prof. Warden is the principal
of the Big Cabin selmol and says the
school will open next Monday. They
have been delayed on account of build-
ing a new $10000 school building.
The Morgan Stock company present-
ed "An American Girl" to a large
house at the Grand last night. This
company consists of a large well bal-
anced cast a splendid eight piece or-
chestra and special scenery for each
bill. Their work was duly appreciated
and another crowded house will prob-
ably greet their appearance tonight.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Williams re-
turned last night from a visit at Alta-
niont. Kane. where they have been
visiting relathes. They were accom-
panied home by .Mrs. E. E. Jones who
will visit them for a few days. Mr.
Williams has been gone for some time
down in the southern part of Okla-
homa where he bought three cars of
mules which he shipped to Harper
Pros. at St. Louis. He has one ear
hiie about ready for shipment. On
his return home he found his brother
C. II Williams of Kansas City here.
