An Odorous Army Incident.
Gen. Leonard Wood dfd not get an
education at West Point costing the
government several thousand dollars.
His was dug out on Cape Cod and
added to after he became a contract
surgeon In the army.
It is very unusual to interpose any
objection when an officer offers his
resignation. In this case General
Wood Is quoted as taking the posi-
tion that Lieutenant Rumbough has
been educated at the expense of the
government and should not leave the
service so soon.
Miss Colgate is heiress to many
millions contributed largely by the
women of this country who like dainty
perfumes and toilet accessories.

Fish Hatchery at Vinita.
St. LOUls Mo. May 19
Editor Vinita Daily Chiettain
Vinita. Oklahoma.
Dear Sir:
I understand that a Government
Fish Hatchery might be located in
Oklahoma.
1 have written to Senator Owen to
look over Vinita while in the City on
the 27th. inst. and to use his influence
to have same located there.
A Fish Hatchery means the expendi-
ture of Thousands of dollars In im-
provements besides the homes for the
Government employes. A fish Hatch-
ery Is a beauty spot to any town and
at the same time a great advertise
ment.
Would suggest that your Commercial
'lub take the matter up with tbe Senator.
The standing of Senator Owen al
the National Capitol gives him an in-
fluence that means a great deal to any
proposition under consideration.

Piece of Good Advice.
They will never grind with the wa-
ter that is froze. The human body
is about two-thirds liquid. If you are
a "cold proposition" better "warm
up" and you will find the "grind" a
whole lot easier.
Acquired Significance.
Tou disapprove of my theory" said
the excited agitator. "Therefore you
refuse to attach any importance to
it." "Of course" replied Senator Sor-
ghum "why should I? The only im-
portance most unpleasant theories
have is what thoughtless people rush
In and attach to them."
Waynesville.N.C. Mr. F.R. Huffman
of this city says: " I sulfered dreadfully
with what I thought was heart trouble
and tried various medicines in vain.
After other remedies had failed Thed-
ford's Black-Draught restored me to
health. I would not ieel safe without
Black-Draught in the house. I consider
it worth its weight in gold.
It cured my indigestion and by this
means I was restored to health. I can
not express my gratitude for its benefits."
Good health depends on the condition
of your digestion. Poor digestion and
good health do not go together.
Thedford's Black-Draught will
thoroughly cleanse and set in order youi
digestive system.
It has done this for others during the
past 70 years and is today the most
popular vegetable liver remedy on tha
market. Try it.
