Under the questioning of his attor-
neys Tegeler told the following
story:
"I went to the Meadows home in
Capitol Hill about a week after my
wife died. They invited me over. Mr.
Meadows was there and I remained
until about 10 o'clock. I was feeling
badly about the loss of my wife and
tliey tried to comfort me. 1 talked
back snd forth with Uietn over the tel-
ephone and thoy. Invited me over other
tidies.

received a note from Mrs. Meadows.
She wrote and told me that she want-
