Reno filed with the supremo court
clerk a petition in error from Canadi-
an county asking for a continuance
of the execution of Taylor Kirk who
wa6 roccntly sentenced to be hanged
on February 8th. Mr. Forrost Is at-
torney for Kirk and desires to have
this client's case ro-exnmlusd. The

get him into nn altercation go as to
have an opportunity to kill hi . He
refused to go and sho immediately
shouted "I will kill you myself" and
jumped for a six-shooter which hung
on the wall. Her brother secured the
pistol first. Sho then jumped for a
Winchester that was near by and was
in the act of using It when her broth-
er pulled the pistol in self-defence and
killed her.
