windows far and near not a person of

struction of property by tho storm on
Sunday night and Monday morning

nnd thu roof rolled up like paper and
carried half a block. Thus tho entire
Inside of Albert Taylor hall was ex-
posed to tho fierce rain and was almost
completely ruined The loss to tho

walls being badly sprung so that part
may havo to be rebuilt.
Considerable other damage was dono
down town. Clark's wholesale furni-
ture store was partially unroofed nnd
his stock of goods more or less dam-
nged. Hasemeuts and cellars through-
out the city aru Hooded. Four inches
of water fell in less than two hours.
Tho town of Neosho Knpids east of
here suffered severely from tho Hoods
and'w"ind. 'Five business houses wero
destroyed and a number of dwellings
damaged.
At Hartford the homo of E. W.
Henry was blown away and Mr. and
Mrs. Henry badly Injured. Tho
Decker livery barn was blown down
and a number of horses killed.
